Almost up

Heh, it seems like I am slipping into a nice biweekly update schedule. There’s been lots going on around here, most of it being school related. While the homework load and the projects do plenty to make my life hectic, they don’t quite make for an interesting blog post. It is the last week of classes for us here, and Monday marks the beginning of exam week. I have 3 exams on Monday, and then no more exams until Thursday. This will give me the chance to cram-cram-cram information all weekend only to be bored for a good part of the rest of the week. Since I have no choice but to stick around until Thursday, I think I’ll try to work a few extra hours and make some money for a few recent expenses. I may go so far as to put in a full day on Friday, but we shall see. After that I’ll be heading south for the remainder of the year and a week or two into January.

The only real newsworthy item I have is that I bought a snowmobile a couple of weeks back and it arrived last night. Chris (my mechanically inclined roomy) and I spent a couple of hours tearing it apart. The engine has a few of problems with it and is currently in pieces directly to my right. The suspension has a few more problems than I would like, but all in all it was still a very good deal. I’ll post more about it later (with pictures!). In the words of everyone’s favorite Uncle Red: I’m pullin’ for ya, we’re all in this together. Keep your stick on the ice.

Spirit of Christmas present

Our Christmas Tree

I thought I’d try something different, and do a vertical picture for once. Really, I couldn’t have fit the whole tree in a horizontal photo. Suffice to say, our apartment went out into the woods to get a Christmas tree today. After stopping at walmart to pick up decorations and lights, I think it looks pretty good. Perhaps it could use a little trimming to make it more cone shaped, but I sortof like it looking natural.

I don’t have much else to say tonight, except I’m back at school after a nice relaxing thanksgiving break. Only a month to go before the big semester break! I need to be getting to bed. Hopefully you guys will forgive me for the lack of timely updates to this site.

Whew

Sulsuno Watch

Once again, it’s been a while since I’ve posted to this site. I thought I had a rhythm going for a while, really I did. Then I spent a late night studying for a physics exam, and it was all over. Anyway, I would give this a weekend an overall rating of ‘neutral.’ I slept in saturday (+1) and a couple hours after I got up, my watch came (+4).

To elaborate, the watch pictured above is the watch I ordered. Some watches might have one or two LED’s, but my new watch has no less than 138 LED’s (Light Emitting Diodes). From the moment I saw this watch on thinkgeek, I knew it would be my next watch. It uses LED’s to display the time in an analog fashion, which is just sweet. Since that time, thinkgeek has stopped carrying it and this model (the only one I really like) has gone out of production. I saw it on ebay, so I figured it was time to pick one up. It wasn’t cheap, but everyone needs a nice watch (right?). It is truly a very unique timepiece.

Today I found out that our broomball team was not in fact ready to go, but that we were number 37 on the waiting list to play (-4). This is a huge bummer for me, as I was the one who went out and got our team’s waivers signed and turned them in. I’ve been pumped about playing ever since we got the team formed, and now MTU tells me we were too late. Basically ruined my weekend, but I guess it’s only a game. Hopefully I can find someone else’s team to play on, but I am still really disappointed. Oh well. I have a Calc II exam tomorrow (-1), so I will talk later. Thanksgiving break is only another week away!
