Downtown Houghton, trees in color

Well, Autumn was here and abruptly left. Though the calendar would tend to disagree, a present photo of downtown Houghton would show snow in the air, barren trees, and the ground bathed in more of the aforementioned white stuff. This photo was taken 3 weeks ago, I believe. At that time, the colors were out, the air was warm, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t get out and take it all in. I took a drive up to Copper Harbor and in general just unwound from the busy week.

Getting back to the present, MTU is in the process of setting up the broomball rinks. I’m looking forward to playing again. This year the Mamas Boys Death Team is going to be drafting a number of new members, including a goalie. Although we will be playing in the off campus league this year (the off campus league is generally considered to be harder — most of the participants have more experience), I really think our team will fare well.

Anyway, I have to be at work in 4 hours (!), so I’d better get some sleep. More tomorrow.
